Michael and Elva Knox and their two children Stephen (3 years) and Catherine (5 months) all perished in Cyclone Tracy. They were living in Adcock Crescent, Nakara at the time in the northern suburbs, one of the worst hit areas.

Rest in Peace Mrs Knox and family. Dawn was my grade Prep teacher in 1973 at Shepparton East Primary School.
Dawn (maiden name Trevaskis) taught me at Harston Primary School in the mid 60’s. She also boarded with our family for 12 months on our farm just up the road from the school. Although I was very young I remember Miss Trevaskis well. Harston was a very small school with about 25 kids and she taught prep-grade 2 in the “little room”.
Thinking of Miss Trevaskis on this sad day.
Rest in Peace, Mike, Dawn, Stephen and Catherine, never forgotten🕊
Micheal and Dawn Knox (Dawn was always known as Dawn not Elva) Michael was my brother and he and Dawn were married in Shepparton in 1967 and moved to Darwin in 1974. They had Stephen and Dawn was pregnant with Catherine. The move was a big promotion for Michael, he worked with New Zealand Insurance.
What a tragic outcome from a natural disaster. My deepest sympathy to you and extended family.
