As part of the 50th commemoration’s we’re thinking about having a national “Where are they now”? campaign to track down the survivors of iconic images of Tracy, including these.

Are we on your list??
We sent an application when emails were first sent out but received no acknowledgment. I saw Richard Creswick at a recent U3A meeting and he said no replies were sent out but that he had a list and everyone on it would get a letter in due course . This happened last week but we got nothing. Peter was a duty meteorologist during Tracy and stayed in Darwin till he retired. He then gave talks at MAGNT till they got rid of volunteers and they have not contacted him for input into their refurbishment. He also featured in the film BLOWN AWAY, of which Richard had never heard. In our initial application we explained Peter’s involvement but no one contacted him for details. If we are not on the list, can we put on at this late stage??
Hello Peter and Helen, Depsite what it says on the survivor ‘packs’ that have been sent out, this website isn’t associated with the Remembering Cyclone Tracy Committee. Their email address is rct74darwin@gmail.com. I will forward your query through to them. All the best, Cathryn (cyclonetracy.au website owner).
